The Night Before Fasting, and All Through the House . . .

It begins on the morrow--sounds ominously English but of course the English are given to fool hardy things like fasting. I'll need a kind of English steely resolve--"Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth lasts for a thousand years, men will still say, “This was their finest hour!”--Churchillian resolve. And a biblical resignation--"Yea though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Fasting, I shall Fear no Craving."

Here's the before results--the picture of course but also this:

Statistics:
  • Blood pressure: 132/88
  • Weight: 204
  • Asthma medications: Advair and Albuterol
  • GRD medications: Omneprazole
  • Symptoms--mucous every morning, ubiquitous coughing, unable to breath through my nose, snoring, hunched shoulders

Personal stuff:

  • I'm tired in the morning; my work out is a chore
  • I'm afraid I'll have trouble skiing this winter; last time I went I could only take 5 runs before stopping
  • <
  • I eat lots of bacon, eggs and cheese for protein but am concerned that my historic low cholesterol may fail me some day
  • I'd like to limit or defeat Asthma and change my eating habits to avoid GRD
  • My skin is very sensitive to nasty pinches and bad touching
  • My neck is immobile and causes me pain at night
  • My right arm gives me pain at night, I think because I tore my rotator cuff a few years ago
  • I want to stop snoring

I'm hoping to see some improvements, starting with a 3 day fast and then incorporating changes to my diet.
